Momentum for climate action in academic medicine is growing, with more than 80% of medical schools setting goals to reduce GHG emissions or taking recent action to address climate impacts.
Featuring the voices of University of Utah Health staff as well as community members, this session will guide other health systems, particularly academic health systems, in inclusive climate action planning. They will share lessons learned from engaging in the university’s broader climate action planning process. Through surveys and engagement sessions with a broad set of stakeholders, they elevated patient and provider input to ensure an equity-centered process.
